For instructors
4 guidesCreating a cohort
- From your dashboard, choose New cohort and give it a course name and term.
- Copy the invite link or code and share it with your students through your usual channel.
- Students appear in the roster as they join. You can remove or re-invite anyone at any time.
Setting up a simulation
- Inside a cohort, choose Add simulation, then pick Bring your own case or Library.
- Choose the stakeholder persona, the number of turns and the difficulty.
- Preview the simulation as a student would see it, then publish it to the cohort.
Uploading your own case
- Choose Bring your own case and upload the PDF, slides or document you already teach.
- Add the teaching note if you have one. It shapes the questions your stakeholder asks.
- Review the generated simulation before publishing. Your material stays private to this cohort.
Reading cohort results
- Open Results on any simulation to see completion and where each student finished.
- Paths are grouped into clusters so you can see the main lines of reasoning at a glance.
- Open any student to read their turns in full before your seminar.
For students
3 guidesJoining a cohort
- Open the invite link your instructor shared, or go to app.n-aible.com and choose Join a cohort.
- Sign in with your institution email, or create an account if this is your first time.
- Enter the cohort code if asked. You will land on the cohort page with every simulation assigned to you.
Playing a simulation, turn by turn
- Open the simulation from your cohort page and read the brief from your stakeholder.
- Each turn, respond in your own words and commit to a position. The stakeholder remembers what you said earlier.
- Decisions carry forward. Review the consequence of each turn before you reply to the next.
Reviewing your outcome
- When the final turn ends, open Outcome to see where your decisions landed.
- Compare your scorecard across the dimensions your instructor set.
- Your instructor may share the cohort spread in class, so you can see how other paths ended.
Account and security
3 guidesSigning in and single sign-on
- Sign in with your institution email. Institutions on the Scale or Enterprise plan can enable single sign-on.
- If you forget your password, choose Reset password on the sign-in page.
Deleting a case and its simulations
- Open the case from your library and choose Delete.
- Deleting a case removes every simulation built from it, within 30 days from active systems and 90 days from backups.
How your data is protected
- Your material is encrypted in transit and at rest, readable only inside the cohort you create, and never used to train a model.
- Read the full commitments in our Terms and privacy policy.
Troubleshooting
2 guidesMy invite link does not work
- Check that you are signed in with the email your instructor invited.
- Links can expire. Ask your instructor to share a fresh one from the cohort page.
A simulation will not load
- Refresh the page and check your connection.
- Try a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox. If it still fails, contact info@n-aible.com.
